Thoughtful answers before you make a decision.
What does travel insurance cover?
Depending on your plan, benefits may address cancellation, interruption, delays, emergency medical care, evacuation and baggage. Read your policy for covered events, limits and exclusions.
Does every cancellation qualify?
No. Standard cancellation benefits apply only to reasons listed in your policy and meeting its conditions. A change of mind is not automatically covered.
What is Cancel For Any Reason?
CFAR is an optional, separately purchased upgrade that may reimburse part of eligible nonrefundable costs. Faye currently describes a purchase deadline within 14 days of the first trip deposit and cancellation at least 48 hours before departure. Full-cost and other eligibility requirements apply; confirm your offered policy.
When should I purchase travel insurance?
Explore it when you make your first trip payment. Waiting can affect time-sensitive benefits and upgrades. A quote request does not purchase coverage or preserve eligibility deadlines.
Are preexisting medical conditions covered?
Not automatically. An exclusion waiver may apply if all requirements are met. Faye describes cancellation/interruption eligibility tied to purchase within 14 days of the first deposit and being medically able to travel. Check the actual policy; this is not blanket medical coverage.
Does my health insurance cover international travel?
Ask your health insurer directly. Overseas treatment and medical transportation may have different limits or no coverage. Check exclusions, out-of-network rules and evacuation benefits.
What documentation may be needed for a claim?
Keep booking confirmations, payment records, receipts and evidence of the disruption. Depending on the claim, medical documentation or a carrier report may be requested. Faye will specify what is needed; do not include medical records in this quote email.
Who makes coverage and claims decisions?
The insurer and its authorized claims administrator apply the policy terms. Gone South Travel Company helps you explore options and does not approve claims or guarantee payment.
Can I request insurance for a trip booked elsewhere?
You can send an inquiry through this form for a trip booked elsewhere. We will help check available options; eligibility, destination and purchase timing still apply. A request is not an offer or confirmation of coverage.
Are benefits the same for every traveler?
No. Availability and benefits depend on the policy, state, trip and traveler. Faye says travelers sharing a plan must have the same travel dates and state of residence. Request separate quotes when these differ.
