Gone South Travel Company presents
Your Journey.
Your Control.
Why We Don’t Book Flights.
At Gone South Travel Company, we believe your airline reservation should remain in your hands. We focus on the extraordinary experiences waiting beyond the runway, while giving you the freedom to manage your flights directly.
The Flight Brief / 01
A More Thoughtful Approach to Air Travel.
Air travel is personal. Your preferred airline, loyalty accounts, available credits, fare restrictions, and schedule all influence how you book.
At Gone South Travel Company, we intentionally leave airline ticket purchases in your hands. Booking directly with an airline can simplify communication, make reservation management more straightforward, and allow you to choose how you use your rewards.
We focus on arranging the hotels, resorts, cruises, excursions, and travel experiences that make your journey memorable.
More control over your flight.
More possibility beyond it.

Three Reasons We Leave the Flight to You.
Hover, tap, or press Enter on a card to explore.
01Direct communication
A More Direct Connection.
When you book directly with your airline, you generally have a direct point of contact for reservation questions, schedule changes, and eligible refunds. Your fare conditions and airline policies still determine what changes are permitted.
02Your rewards
Your Miles. Your Choices.
Booking directly allows you to manage available airline credits, explore loyalty redemptions, and review your rewards options in one place. Eligible third-party bookings may also earn miles, so always compare your options.
03Know what you’re buying
Clarity Before Takeoff.
Compare baggage allowances, seat selection, cancellation rules, change fees, and fare restrictions directly before purchasing. The lowest advertised fare is not always the best overall value.

One Reservation.
Two Different Relationships.
How you purchase airfare can affect who you contact when your plans change.
There’s no universal best price or guaranteed outcome. Compare the fare, the booking terms, and the support available to you.
A direct relationship with your airline.
- The airline generally manages the reservation directly.
- Travelers can usually manage eligible changes through their airline account.
- Airline policies and fare conditions determine changes and refunds.
- Loyalty benefits depend on the airline and ticket eligibility.
A relationship with your booking provider.
- Some changes or refund requests may need to go through the booking intermediary.
- The airline remains responsible for operating the flight.
- Responsibilities vary by booking provider and fare.
- Third-party bookings may sometimes offer competitive pricing or other benefits.

Before You Book,
Consider This.
A few thoughtful checks before purchasing can make the journey smoother.
01Check the Fare Rules
Review cancellation policies, changes, and travel credit eligibility.
Look beyond the fare name. Review whether changes are allowed, whether a fare difference applies, and whether cancellation returns money or a travel credit. Check any credit expiration date before paying.
02Compare the Total Cost
Consider baggage, seat selection, and other optional charges.
Compare the final total for the trip you actually want, including your bags and preferred seats. A lower base fare can cost more once optional extras are added.
03Review Your Connection
Check layover duration, airport changes, and potential disruption risks.
Allow time for terminal transfers and, where relevant, immigration, security and baggage collection. Check whether the itinerary changes airports or uses separate tickets, which can complicate a missed connection.
04Add Your Loyalty Number
Review your airline rewards account and eligible mileage earning.
Confirm the name on your booking matches your rewards account. Check the fare’s mileage eligibility and add your loyalty number when booking or managing the reservation.
05Verify Your Travel Details
Confirm passenger names, travel dates, destinations, and required travel documents.
Match passenger names to the documents used for travel. Double-check airport codes, dates, overnight arrivals, and current destination entry and transit requirements before purchasing.
06Consider Travel Protection
Review available travel insurance options and understand applicable coverage, exclusions, and limitations.
Read the policy details and consider whether the coverage fits your itinerary. Covered reasons, benefit limits, exclusions and purchase timing matter; travel insurance does not cover every disruption.

A personal note / 05
Why I Do Things Differently.
I believe the best travel planning is about knowing where I can provide the most value.
When it comes to airfare, I prefer that my clients maintain direct control over their reservations, airline credits, and loyalty accounts.
My focus is on the experiences that surround the flight: finding the right hotel, exploring available benefits, arranging memorable activities, and helping make the overall trip feel effortless.
It’s a more intentional approach to travel planning, and one I’m proud to offer through Gone South Travel Company.
